Original artwork description:

'Affirmation', is a red abstract painting inspired by Joyce's love of colour and texture and is reminiscent of the works of the late Canadian artist Jean Albert McEwen. Its warm colour draws the viewer in - Its title is inspired by political events taking place on November 7, 2020 (USA)

This work is overall a carmine red (dark muted pink/red) and includes black, gold, yellow ochre, earth tones, and bits of red oxide (muted orange). The work is highly textured, multi-layered and much of it was painted using a palette knife.

The painting is ready to hang with wire attached. The gallery-style canvas has sides painted in dark brown/black to complete the look.

This painting has been created using professional acrylic paint. A thin layer of Liquitex Professional Satin Varnish has been applied for protection

The painting is signed on the front and back and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity
