This Labrador sculpture was inspired by Jake, a gentle dog living on a picturesque farm. When I met him, he was feeling a little down, having recently lost his companion. His family was still grieving, but Jake's affectionate nature shone through. He loved to sit snugly between his owner’s legs, gazing up at them for comforting strokes. Originally intended as a portrait, we quickly realised his sculptural form in that position captured his spirit perfectly. That’s how the idea for this piece came to life.
