I wanted to capture the beautiful structure of this succulent and the dramatic shadow that it happened to be casting at the time was an added bonus. The marbled background makes a subtle texture against the plant.
An original hand-pulled screen print. One colour is printed at a time by hand using a squeegee which pushes ink through the screen onto the paper. For each new colour the artist makes a separate drawing/stencil and different coloured layers are built up to create a design.
