When we were painting this study, sitting on the empty shore, all of a sudden the pebbles close to us began to rustle. Without giving us the slightest bit of attention, a huge vividly-green lizard scuttled past our noses and a snake chased after it in zigzags. When the lizard reached the water a wave concealed it, and the snake was left in solitude amidst the rocks.
