Women, dreaming and posing and reclining - while imagining the Man in the Moon.
Usually the Moon holds a female presence in my works but in this one from 1990 the man holds centre stage!
Drawn in pastel on Barcham Green English paper with a deckled edge.
Never before seen.
It has been stored in my studio plan-chest since its creation; I am steadily working my way through photographing and listing a whole body of work that was made in my final years in London, before I moved to Lincolnshire in the early 90s. I tended to exhibit only the very larger pieces after that date, so there's a lot of medium sized pieces that still have to see the light of day!
All my pastels are professional quality chalks and after completion the drawing is sprayed lightly with Winsor & Newton Fixative.
Pastels when framed should never touch the glass!
When framing it is an idea to show off the lovely deckled edge of the paper rather than bring the mount-board over the edge of the paper. This is purely a personal preference. A good framer will advise.
Available unframed.
Wrapped in acid-free paper, carefully packaged and sent by courier.
All my artworks include a Certificate of Authenticity.
