A small Scottish mountain landscape painting of the mountains of Assynt in the far north west highlands of Scotland. Painted in muted grey blue and ochre colours. In this painting I have tried to convey the peace and tranquility of a grey day in this wild area of the Scottish highlands, with rugged conical peaks surrounded by heather moorlands and small still lochs, and dramatic cloudy skies.

Painted with a palette knife and fingers, using quality artists oils on a small square format 8" x 8" (20 x 20cm) canvas, with a varnish finish and white hand painted wooden frame with cord ready to hang.
