Original artwork description:

I live in the Lakedistrict in Cumbria. We are surrounded by sheep and cows. I love Swaledales and Herdwicks. I wanted to paint a set of animal paintings in my style and faithful to the area where I live. Some are painted on lakeland slate others on wood and some on canvas. I digitally altered a photograph taken of a Swaledale using various apps and image editing programs and changed the colours, added textures and layers. This formed the source material for the final painting.
