"Achill Head" is a Variable Edition carborundum and drypoint print with watercolour chine colle background on acid free tissue paper printed onto Fabriano paper. The plate provides a consistent foreground image, whilst the variable watercolour background varies within the edition. No two prints in the edition look the same, hence the variable edition. This is No. 6 of the edition of 20.
The image depicts a view of Achill Island, as viewed from Belmullet, which is North of Achill Island in Co. Mayo, Ireland.
