Acceptance is about seeing the world as it actually is, instead of how we might wish it could be different. I truly believe that if you've been having a difficult time, the more you try and resist that difficulty, the worse it can make you feel. It's better to accept the truth and allow life to happen. That's what I did in this painting, by allowing the medium to show through.

Liberation and Acceptance are companion paintings. They can be displayed together or separately. Both paintings feature controlled pouring, brushwork, sponging, and collage with gold leaf, along with some experimental techniques I tried with just these two paintings.
