An abstract painting of an Acacia tree in the African bushveld.

I was inspired to bring out the vibrant energy I feel in Africa with the use of warm colours contrasted with the cool sky, which gives the painting expanse. I used a combination of brush work and palette knife to create layers and texture to give the sensation of light moving through it. I get an incredible sense of wellbeing and energy being in the African bush and I wanted this to come through the painting.
