Original artwork description:

I always paint standing up at an easel so that I can move freely, painting with large gestures and reacting immediately to the image in front of me. This painting was created with abstract expressionist passion. I used a palette knife to make broad strokes of paint, letting the shapes spring to life and build upon each other. Like fire rising, the reds leap and grow, bursting from the muted background.

This is an original painting on stretched canvas, with the image continuing around the 1.5" sides so that no frame is required. It comes with picture wire, ready to hang.

Materials used:

acrylic paint on stretched canvas
