Original artwork description:

The works in the series are more than abstract paintings. While the first impression of each of these works may be that they are simply explorations of shape and colour, it soon becomes apparent that there is in fact something familiar in the design of the works. Continuing with the early abstract tradition of using reality for the departure point for creating works and combining this with a pop sensibility that finds beauty in the banality of daily life, these works sit comfortably between the popular and the critical.
Abstract Triptych #1 is a one of a kind, original work of art. It is produced using India ink and acrylic paint on 5 mil archival grade mylar. I have stayed with my usual pallet of warm “earthy” colors.
The center painting is signed on the front and comes with a signed certificate of authenticity.

This painting will be shipped in a tube. The artwork is done on laminated architectural drafting mylar. It does not have to be stretched like canvas or watercolor paper and is very easy to mount on any type of board: plywood, masonite, foamboard, etc. I include simple mounting instructions with each piece that I sell. You can see these instructions at the “me at work” section of my shop. I include a hanging strip and a drywall hanging device. Everything that you need to mount your painting except the board.
