Original artwork description:
Most often when I’m painting, I’m listening to classic R&B or smooth jazz. Sometimes this has a direct effect on my work. I feel that “Abstract Symphony” and “Abstract Movement” fall into this category. Again working in pairs, these two paintings on paper with collage elements have a “musical” feeling to them. Cool, collected and smooth. Think Cubism meets Jean Arp. Again hard edge geometry meets beautiful colors. This work is on paper using acrylic paint mixed with a little gesso to give the paint a chalky or pastel feeling. In addition it has some cut out shapes collaged on top of the painting. Titled, signed and dated on the reverse.
