Modern abstract impressionist palette knife oil painting on stretched canvas, square format ( 30 x 30 cm, depth - 2.50 cm // 12x12 inch , depth - 1 inch ), realized in impasto technique, presenting an abstracted bouquet of sunflowers in blue vase.
My aim, in my floral paintings, is to capture the vital, energetic beauty of flowers expressed through highly textured palette knife strokes of vibrant colours.

This oil painting presents a bouquet of three vibrant sunflowers painted into an abstract manner in impasto technique with bold, explosive palette knife strokes that create those almost sculptural textures of oil paint that I love so much.

This work is part of my ongoing series ''Flowers on round table''. I started this series of floral still lifes years ago and it is a recurrent theme for me over the time.
