Original artwork description:

This piece in oils is built up in many layers using palette knives, homemade squeegees and other tools to evoke an abstracted seascape. Chance plays a large role in this painting and after working and reworking arrived at the point where I felt the seascape emerge. Rather than pure abstract expressionism, the piece retains more clearly defined representational elements. The colours and composition work together to create a harmonised, peaceful and tranquil place to rest one's gaze. It was a lot of fun to paint!

The piece is painted using exceptional quality Old Holland and Winsor and Newton Artists' series oil paints and mediums with the highest ratings of permanence and light-fastness on a fully-archival canvas panel measuring 30cm by 24 cm, which will fit many off-the-shelf frames.

The painting will be packaged following best-practice guidelines and despatched by signed for and fully tracked courier. It is signed on the reverse and comes with a certificate of authenticity.

All paintings are unframed unless otherwise stated.

I endeavour to estimate shipping charges as accurately as possible. In the event of overcharging, I will refund the difference through Artfinder, and will bear the cost of any undercharging myself.

Outside of the UK and America there may be local duty / tax. If so, this is payable by the collector prior to delivery - the postal service/courier for your country will request payment if any is due. VAT on art imports is usually at a reduced rate compared with general VAT ratings.

Thank you for looking.
