Original artwork description:

Tulle fabric conceptual abstract art painting has been created with 100% tulle on canvas using the steamed Shibori method.

Docking achieved with deep, ocean blue tendons, the flow of information is about to begin. This miracle molecule, a “phage”, exists outside the realm of living nature, and yet has the power to determine life’s fate. The unsuspecting microcosm of the main cell continues on with its machinery, stretching out its pink-translucent ameboid arms to colonize new frontiers, impervious to any resistance. Suddenly, blue and red erupt in battle on the canvas, and the cell’s headquarters crumbles—like the headquarters of any human-made technology when faced with the success of an ultimate competitor.

Inspired by bacteriophages—natural viruses that infect bacteria, which have saved the lives of people infected with bacteria resistant to all known antibiotics. This technology, developed in Eastern countries, was (and still is) largely ignored by the West due to both political reasons and Big Pharma’s propensity to perpetuate current money-makers (antibiotics).
