Abstract Landscape 18 is a reaction to observing shipping containers and the industry surrounding them in the Charleston, South Carolina, USA area. Boats. Trains. Trucks on the highways. Stacks and stacks of the containers stored in and around North Charleston and the Cooper River yards are the inspiration he used for this painting. The beginning drawing for this painting is based on a detailed photograph of another abstract landscape painting of his from 2018.
