Original artwork description:

Paul Klee once said:

''Art does not reproduce the visible; it makes visible"

And so, here I have painted over what Klee would have rejected as a "visible" (i.e.a portrait). I have used parts of this old work to repurpose and build my abstract work. For me, abstract work is all about the process of building harmony and colour; and balancing the composition and line. I think that to be totally absorbed in these activities and to make a good job of it; one should not be constrained by trying to "reproduce the visible."
This painting is reminiscent of the technique of pinstriping vintage motorbikes and cars.

This painting will be shipped on the stretcher securely in a reinforced envelope of polycarbonate sheeting. Please message me to arrange shipping off of the stretcher in a tube ready for framing. All shipping prices are estimated but rest assured that any overpayment charged will be refunded back to the customer once the painting has been shipped. All paintings are shipped with a certificate of authenticity. Questions about my paintings or practice welcome. Thank you.
