Original artwork description:

This print is a result of experimenting with methods of printmaking involving making monoprints and using stencils that I made from paper. I made freehand, cloud like shapes by layering ink onto my paper over a series of printmaking sessions. I rolled the ink onto an uncarved piece of Lino. In fact, I used a few different sized ones and they have left interesting embossed rectangles where they pressed onto the paper. Then after noticing that the serrated edge of a piece of paper torn from a pad made an interesting outline when accidentally printed, I made stencils by cutting out strips of paper and then making multiple holes with a hole punch. I experimented with these shapes and used different transparent inks on top of the cloud like shapes. The effect was partly accidental but very pleasing. I love it when happy accidents happen. I could recreate something similar but I could never reproduce this exact print so it is a unique artwork. This is why it is not numbered, just signed. It has no title as it is an experiment with pattern and colour. It is printed on acid free cartridge paper.
