Original artwork description:

This new canvas painting represents the second part in a change-up of style for me, and the second work I've produced on a circular canvas.

Instead of painting in my usual pop art style subjects that are easily recognisable, I decided to instead experiment with different forms, shapes, and textures, all of which come together to compliment the round canvas shape.

Rather than organic messy style abstract art however, I've still kept some of my trademark straight edges and defined shapes, mixed with a bit more of an looser paint style applied by a roller across two thirds of the canvas. The bright colour palette I have chosen, I feel, is still consistent with my usual more pop-based work.

The form and look of the overall piece was hugely inspired by the Memphis Group, an Italian collective who peaked in the 1980s experimenting with bold colours and shapes, throwing away the old traditions of design.

The canvas is 25cm in diameter (straight across), 81cm around the edge (circumference), and 1.5cm thick. There's a picture of me holding the canvas to give you an idea of its size.

The final pictures show this piece alongside the other circular abstract canvases in my shop.

It is painted in acrylic paints and is signed on the back frame.

Postage will be first class, tracked, and packaged safely in a strong cardboard box.

Materials used:

Acrylic Paint, Paintbrush, Canvas
