Original artwork description:

‘Abseil for no one’ is part of an iterated introspection on the interplay between the external environment and internal experience. It bridges the gap between the tangible and the intangible, offering a glimpse into the quiet reflections that inspire this art. By exploring abstraction, the aim is to create a curated space where journeys are very much the reward and beginnings or endings have been negated as an unnecessary distraction.
Using the gamut of watercolour techniques, wet on wet, scraping back, wet on dry and sgraffito built up in subsequent layers, these works are without doubt inspired by plein air paintings that we undertake wherever we happen to be and those experiences are fed into the whole but without any strict reference to them.

All the works are produced using the highest quality materials, the medium is Saunders Waterford 140lb 100% cotton paper and the pigments are professional Winsor & Newton or Holbein lightfast paint.
