Original artwork description:

I was walking with some friends around Flamborough Head in Yorkshire and saw for the first time some puffins. They were sitting on the cliffs below us, flying off to the sea and back up again. I managed to take many photos of these lovely little birds. I chose to paint this view as I liked the contrast of the texture of the earth and grass against the swell of the sea in the background, and a little puffin popping his head above the edge.
