This is an image of an old man - a fisherman from the south of Thailand. I met him when he was wading along the beach and taking small fish the size of herrings from the nets left there. When he noticed me watching him, he smiled kindly and showed off his catches. I took a picture of it and when I got back I couldn't resist the temptation to paint it. This emanation of happiness and life wisdom captivated me through and through...
The painting is painted with oil paints and varnished against dust and UV light.
The artwork is signed with initials in front and the whole signature on the back.
