This canvas is a small journey between closely intertwined realms of life and death. The lush, vibrant colors reflect the teeming jungles with their undeniable laws: to eat or to be eaten. If you look closely into this collage-like chaos chaos, you can recognize the eternal dance, the unceasing cycle - an endless Circle of Life. Everything melts into one another, as one life gives way to the next, testifying to the interconnectedness of all existence.

At the heart of the composition is Damballah, the Grand Primordial Serpent. In Voodoo beliefs, Damballah is revered as the harbinger of life and the foreteller of mortality, for, as tradition has it, it creates life and, in due time, reclaims it. The symbolism of the primordial snake, quite literally interweaving with other elements of mystical rituals and african masks, adds an additional layer in the kaleidoscope of the exploration of being and the mysteries that lie beyond.
