Original artwork description:

The beautiful house and gardens at Aberglasney are in Carmarthenshire, Wales. While exhibiting in the gallery here I had time to wander around these wonderful surroundings and find inspiration for more paintings. Whilst there I made several drawings of the many arches and gateways in the gardens as well as the flowers both in the gardens and the orchid house contained within the old kitchens and rear of the house

This arched doorway enters the walled garden at its furthest point from the house.The sunshine floods through the wooden doorway making a great contrast in colour and light.
