"Abandoned" is a painting I have made that evokes ideas around the themes of loss or letting go.
With "Abandoned" I am trying to create a reflective and contemplatory experience for the viewer. This experience could either provoke a positive or negative narrative. Depending on the viewers interpretation and their state of mind at the time of engagement with the painting.

This painting has been inspired by the American abstract expressionism movement that included such artists as: Franz Kline, Willem de Kooning, Mark Rothko, Helen Frankenthaler and Agnes Martin.
