Original artwork description:
An old windmill and a family celebrating the warmth of first May's days | Plein air artwork.
The watercolour sketch was painted while on a walk at the Pirogovo Folk Architecture museum in Kyiv's vicinity, in May 2017. First warm days and first long public holidays since Christmas, they brought families out of city streets to parks and gardens, to enjoy themselves and nature. A sweet smell of fresh grass and spring flowers, the high and brightly blue sky, old windmilles standing out of the landscape and children laughing to each other. A celebration of life!
SIZE: 21 x 30 cm or 8.66 x 11.4 in, which is small and can be fit in standard frames available in city decor shops. To give you a better idea of how big the artwork is, I am including the photo from the scene where it was painted.
TECHNIQUE & MATERIALS: The watercolour is done in wet-on-dry tecnique on an acid-free archival paper, which will not discolour or fall apart with time (if kept in good storage conditions).
STORAGE: The artwork needs to be kept far from direct sun, as it affects the colours the sketch, bleaching it.
COLOURS: Please be aware that the original colours of the painting may slightly differ from what you may see on your mobile or laptop screen.
FRAMING & PACKAGING: I ship the watercolour of this size flat and unframed (no mat as well), using cardboard and film to prevent possible damages to the painting. It is done in order to reduce parcel's weight and shipping costs. However, the size of the watercolour allows its fast and budget framing using standard mats and frames from your local decor shops.
SHIPPING: I will be happy to ship this artwork to your country via a national post courier, with tracking, or any other courier of your choice for an extra charge according to courier's shipping prices.
~ Please note that not all national post couriers exchange tracking information between them, which means that you are not always can track the parcel after it leaves the country of origin.
