Anna Alcock researched, carved and printed this series of linocuts telling the story of the Walthamstow Wetlands over three months. The River Lea flows through the linocuts and Alcock imagines being an observer sitting next to the river of time.
The linocuts are printed with copper ink to reflect the history of the Coppermill next to the River Lea. The linocuts were later screenprinted onto the walls of the Coppermill building that leads up to the viewing tower on the Walthamstow Wetlands.
