A walk with Vincent, 2016.
This watercolour I started off looking at one of Van Gogh's drawings of trees in charcoal and ink. I wanted to put myself into Vincents shoes and look at the image from his perspective. Adding colour to the image that is originally in sepia tones made it fun, since there could be hundreds of variations.
Watercolour is on a 300gsm, hot pressed, grain satin, 100% cotton Arches watercolour paper.
Certificate of authenticity by the author included.
The painting is sold unframed.
