The woods at Shotover just outside Oxford are a great space to escape to when I need some peace and a calm place to reflect. I find myself appreciating trees more each year - which is possibly just a by-product of ageing, but certainly encompasses a growing appreciation for their natural beauty.

This painting was inspired by one of the paths I walk regularly. Here the woodland floor is carpeted with wildflowers.

Acrylic on canvas. Varnished. Comes mounted, framed and ready to hang.
