Artwork description:

A Walk in the Snow, shows a couple walking and playing with their dog in a snow-covered winter landscape. This is a sugar lift aquatint is on a copper etching plate. This is a process where the image is painted with a sugar solution onto the etching plate. The plate is then coated in acid resistant varnish and finally immersed into boiling water. The hot water dissolves the sugar solution causing the varnish to 'lift' and expose the drawing ready to etch.
