Original artwork description:
On the Island of Telendos (no cars - no roads) there are walkways around the 20 or so buildings. All of them are sheltered from the blazing sun by the foliage draped over a criss-cross of poles. The “streets” are clean and beautifully set with stones. I spent a couple of hours around here sketching and these paintings of the light have come out of that experience. Painted in oil on canvas 16” x 12” with deep sides painted with a continuing theme.
