A walk along the cliffs on a sunny day is a painting inspired by a recent walk along the grassy cliffs near my home on the borders of County Wicklow and Wexford, the beauty of the clear blue sea and the vividness of the sky just called out to be painted ...after so much rain and with the recent warm weather natures seems to have come to life again and the grasses, wild flowers and even weeds seem to be growing abundantly..
I sat for a while on the cliffs and just looked out to sea, enjoying the burst of colour and loving the contrast between the greens of the cliff top and all the shades of blue you could imagine...
This painting is oil on board and is 22.5 x 22.5 x .4 cm and float mounted and framed as shown it is 33 x 33 x 4cm
