Original artwork description:

The High Kirk of Edinburgh, the heart of Scotland's capital. A place immersed in Scotland's history, at times dark and stormy, gruesome even. Yet it is a stunning building, surrounded by the best of Edinburgh's classical architecture. I am always drawn to this corner of the city, at night when the moon casts eerie shadows, and in the morning when the light is filled with radiance and beauty. This view is at dusk, with darkness creeping in, and the light remaining in sharp contrast on the upper parts of the buildings. It is almost golden. The painting is full of colour and detail and mystery, a perfect souvenir of Edinburgh; the canvas is 0.4 inches deep and can therefore hang without a frame if wished. Texture has been added to give extra depth.

Materials used:

acrylic and card
