From the sea, I look back at Jaffa, the heat mitigated by the pleasant spray of the sea. I imagine the countless arrivals whose first view of the land would have been this. The light radiates on certain angles, a flesh-coloured stone, and gathers in shadow elsewhere, with a promise of coolth. The work is rich in colour and is vibrant, a perfect souvenir, a great gift.

Texture has been added to create extra depth. The canvas is 0.5 inches deep and can therefore hang without a frame if wished.
