Original artwork description:

I don't believe there is a City more enchanting than Venice. I have experienced it in all weathers and nothing can dampen its allure and charm.

This is painting has been created using just Payne's Grey and a spot of white Indian ink. It is in an impressionist style rather than my usual more detailed paintings. The paint has been allowed a lot of freedom on the paper, which has created some lively and interesting marks.

It measures 14" X 18" and has a 1" border on each side to allow for framing. It is sold unmounted and unframed. The paper is handmade by Two Rivers and is my favourite paper to work on. It has a deckled edge (see photos) and has a wonderful natural surface which enhances the paints movement when settling on the wet paper. This painting will require mounting and framing behind glass.

Every effort has been made to reproduce the colours exactly as the painting, but individual monitor settings can cause slight variations.

Materials used:

Payne's Grey watercolour paint, white Indian ink, Two Riviers Handmade watercolour paper - all prfessional quality materials.
