How happy I was to receive a Porta 6
The contents was beside the point
The label was the best pick
As I painted
I remembered all our travels to Portugal
The sardines on the fire
Chicken - the best one can desire
The boat trips on the glorious sea
The wishes for this abode
To be remembered
Narrow streets of Lisbon
Neighbours being a handstretch away
Sharing their treats or wine I should say
Using sign language
We spoke to local residents
And bought some lovely presents
Portugal - you are close to my heart
From your memories I will not part.
Hope to visit Porta one day
Find no 6 ….
and book a stay.
