"A Time of Dreams" captures some birch woods near my in the Peak District at a time of sunlight and bluebells. This is a fresh reminder that Spring is just around the corner and a celebration of peaceful places. I wander here when there are woodland flowers, the breezes at this time of year are fresh in these woodland places and while the movement of the trees creates dappled shadows over the forest floor. This painting is expressive and creates a feeling of calm and beauty.

An original artwork, one of a kind, this painting has been created with high quality acrylic paints on deep edged canvas. The painting continues round the edges, a frame is not needed and it is ready to hang. I use impasto techniques applied with a palette knife in multi layers, which creates a contemporary painting and if you look closely you can see the first layers applied in places.
