This drawing was completed over two bright and sunny days in Tokyo, Japan. Tokyo is an incredible city and if I remember correctly, is the largest city on earth with around 25 million people living there. I chose this view because I liked the fact that I could see an area of smaller older buildings in the foreground (between skyscrapers) and the larger more high density city stretching out behind it separated by the greens of a park. It was definitely a challenge to draw, but also enjoyable to try to show as many different coloured and shaped buildings as I could see. I love how abstract the zoomed in details of this type of drawing looks, some bonus Bob Ross “Happy Accidents “!
