Oil on stretched canvas. This painting is based on memories I have of being on a boat approaching a beach. It was a windy day and I remember the large violent waves. Imagine the relief when your feet touches the sand. A beautiful piece of coastline being unraveled by the morning light. With the waves behind me I looked up at the sky as it yawned, showing its breath in beautiful colours.

I have painted this piece using only my imagination and memory. Ive applied the oil thick in places using pallet knives, brushes and my bare hands. I wanted to give it a dark and mystical feel just like it is when a new day is dawning, full of mystery and hope.

The canvas has the edges painted white and is ready to hang. It has thin edges for framing if required. It will be proffessionaly wrapped in cardboard and plenty of heavy duty bubblewrap.
