all the years I have had dogs, they have always been mongrels, mixed races of every kind, colour and size, I have a definite affinity for a mutt
An etching is a copperplate where with the help of acid I have incised my drawing, I then add aquatint to get the deep tones of ink, with the help of rosin that gets heated onto the plate, all a bit complicated but fun, and us printmakers, we love to complicate things! You can see me make and print an etching if you go to youtube and search under my name.
Every time I print the copperplate, I have to ink it up with special etching inks, and then put it on my etching press, place the printmaking paper on top and pull it through.
When the ink and paper has dried, I sign and number each print, please note I can't guarantee you get the number in the photo.
The size of "a stack of mongrels" is, paper: 20" x 9.5" ( 50 cm x 24 cm)
with the actual printed copperplate: 16" x 5" ( 40 cm x 13,5 cm)
I ship the etching to you from my studio in the south of Denmark, with many years experience of sending my art, packing it very carefully so it arrives safely, see my over 1000 reviews.
I am of course very happy to gift wrap and include a message, just let me know.
Thanks so much for visiting and hope to see you soon again!
