Original artwork description:

Sunflowers are one of my favorite flowers! My Mother cannot understand how I love them, since I spent many hot summer days howing them out of my grandfather's cotton fields in Texas. We had the cut them down in order for the cotton picking machine to work properly. I just remember that it was hot.

In the right place though, they are lovely! I love the way that they turn to the sun (hence the French name: tournesol). I like the ones that are all yellow the very best.

This is painted on an 8"x8" birch panel.
