I love these old farmhouses! There is such a simplicity of form - it makes me think that they must have had simple uncomplicated lives. After reading a lot of history though, I know that the life of a subsistence farmer in Maine may have been simple - but never easy.

Still, it is easy to admire the simple structures that they built.

This is a 12"x12" oil painting on gallery wrapped canvas. The edges of the canvas are painted grey, and there is a wire on the back f the painting. So it is ready to hang!
