Artwork description:

"A Refugee" is the fifty-sixth photograph from the "Death" set.*

Why is this photo set related to death? Thanks to the awareness of the fragility and inevitability of the end of human life, we can lead a full, precious, happy life. It was the famous Latin quote "Memento Mori" that helped people remember death. Today it is instead the phrase "Carpe Diem" that reminds people of the inevitable end. Seize the day because tomorrow, you may not live. The fact is, the foreknowledge of death guides all human culture, from religion and philosophy to science and art. From the very beginning, humankind has been looking for a "cure" that will ensure immortality.

*Please, take notice that the graphic is not for sale. For sale is only the picture.
