Original artwork description:

We found this striking little boat at Swanage in Dorset whilst on holiday in the area. I thought it was a cheerful, colourful sight, including some vibrant reflections in the water. The stone wall of the quay that the boat was moored to offered an interesting contrast in colour and texture, and there was the added interest of holiday makers enjoying the view in the sunshine. I took a number of photos of the scene, because I knew I would want to paint it when I returned home again.
