Original artwork description:

An evening of hazy light with a large lazy swell from mid-Atlantic crashing on the West side of Hirta, the main island in the St Kilda group 40 miles west of the Outer Hebrides. Meanwhile the resident gannets have spotted a shoal of summer herring and literally pour themselves out of the air on top of them in a feeding frenzy; from close range it's not difficult to see how their name became associated with enthusiastic eating habits.
