Original artwork description:

An archive piece from 2015.

This oil painting was included in an exhibition at the Leighton House Museum, in London, entitled 'The Craft of Drawing and Painting'. I was part of a group of 'plein air' painters who were lucky enough to be invited to exhibit in this incredible space to show work that was painted using traditional techniques, resulting from rigorous classical training. The Museum is the previous home and studio of Lord Leighton - an incredible building and well worth a visit if you are in England!

This artwork is in oil, painted on a linen canvas, on board. It is professionally framed in a solid wood hand made frame, and hand painted in a warm white.

This was created whilst on a day's painting by Richmond Park's Pen Ponds. There was a light cloud cover, but shadows were still cast by the trees surrounding the pond and on the small island. There is a glossy finish to the rich oil paint depicting the surface of the water, the banks and the trees beyond. I was sitting on a perfectly placed bench. The ideal place to 'rest', and admire this peaceful view.

Painted in Michael Harding Professional Artist's oil paint. This artwork is signed and dated on the rear and comes with a signed Certificate of Authenticity.

This painting will be carefully wrapped for shipping in a layer of tissue paper, foam board and (recycled/recyclable) bubble wrap, then placed in a sturdy cardboard box.

Tracking code provided.
