Original artwork description:

I finished this painting- an ‘Ode to my Mom, just in time for Mother’s Day. A Dark- Haired, Green- Eyed Beauty, She was musically gifted. She sang, played ukulele, guitar, and taught my brothers snd I to sing in four-part harmony from the time we could talk. She passed away four years ago, and I wish I’d had her sit for a Portrait before she died. Working on this Painting- inspired by one of my favorites by Matisse combined with my own Mother’s Spirit- was a Labor of tremendous Love. This canvas is painted around the edges so it can be hung, unframed if preferred.
