Artwork description:

I wanted to make a still life to reflect a little of how I was feeling a couple of weeks ago. It’s been a long grey winter here in the Uk and up until a day ago it truly felt like the dull sky would never brighten again. The idea of a bunch of brightly coloured wild flowers as a contrast to all the bleakness of the weather that so affects my mood was what helped give me optimism and hope for better days to come.
This is a limited edition of only 7 linocut prints. They were created using the reduction method which means that each layer of colour is printed then carved away from the same linoblock. It also means there is no chance of reprints.
Please be aware that as these are handmade prints there will be slight irregularities on the surface of the image and some embossing, as well as marks on the margins, these are all proof that what you are receiving is an original handcrafted piece of art :-)

Materials used:

Somerset satin 250gsm and oil based inks
