"A Moment of Calm" is an expression of sea and surf on a windy day. I'm always inspired by the coast and the beautiful blues of the ocean, the white rolling surf, windswept sky and dark tones of green in stormy weather. I love the sea finding the rhythmical waves very exhilarating always taking a sketchbook to the beach to capture the mood.
Painted on a deep edged canvas "A Moment of Calm" is an original work of art and one of a kind. The painting is in mixed media and to create texture I have used some sand from the beach, which I mixed into the paint while I was working. The painting continues round the sides, a frame is not needed and it is ready to hang.
